Beauty and wellness await in the sanctuary that is Taman Air Spa
Many cultures have intersected throughout Indonesia over the centuries. In the case of Taman Air Spa, it honors its Balinese customs and traditions while adding Chinese Taoist philosophy to the establishment’s conceptualization. The result is a unique sense of balance, flow, and energy running through Taman Air, from its architectural design to its array of spa treatments.
—RENEW AND REVIVE
Taman Air is committed to provide services to enhance the wellness of its guests. One particular treatment, Renew and Revive, is highly recommended. This exotic beauty ritual draws from old royal Central Java practices, comprising of a soothing footbath, Taman Air’s signature massage, and finally the lulur body exfoliation.
Traditional ingredients are utilized to ensure the authenticity of the treatment. Guests can expect to be exfoliated with a blend of finely ground rice powder, turmeric, sandalwood, and jasmine oil. The body will
be left rejuvenated, and the skin fragrant.
—ENGAGING THE SENSES
A dynamic composition of natural elements is prominent upon entering Taman Air. The life-giving water greets guests as the welcome path takes them to the spa’s front reception. Decorated with seashells and relying on nature’s climes, Bali’s relaxing seashore atmosphere is evoked here.
Taman Air’s lagoon, which is its architectural centerpiece, has a wooden bridge path that resembles the Chinese Yin-Yang symbol; immediately, the focus on balance is highlighted. The surrounding clay brick walls project an earthy tone – calming and grounding for anyone walking through the area.
The thoughtful play and use of elements shape Taman Air’s built area to support the Chinese Taoist philosophy that inspires the establishment. By awakening the senses, guests become aware of their bodies and state of mind, allowing them to consciously realign to the serenity enveloping them.
The spa offers dedicated spaces to cater to different treatments: two suites are equipped with bale bengong and Jacuzzi; there are twelve deluxe treatment rooms, single and double rooms for a number of the traditional massages, reflexology area, and a beauty salon. Meanwhile, the Bamboo Café provides for all food and beverage needs of Taman Air’s guests.
Taman Air Spa encompasses the warm hospitality of Bali and the harmonious Chinese Taoist philosophy, all of which are translated into a thoughtful contemporary architectural design and beneficial treatments and rituals. Guests will leave feeling well cared for, and their specific needs met.
